Incident Management deals with handling of incidents which happen in the society.
The System has categorized the incidents in to three classes.
Field Initiated Incident
Normal incident will be created if any fire accident or road accident happens. While creating incident in the system user will be able to provide necessary information like location of the incident, incident type, agency, caller information, person information, vehicle information. Field initiated incident will be created when officer is on field, observes incident and reaches the incident place with the unit. Scheduled incident will be created for future date and time.
Incidents will be assigned with unit to serve the particular incident. Incident will be active when the assigned unit is available. If the specified unit is not free and is acting on any other incident then the specified incident will be stacked against the unit. Whenever the unit will be free the stacked incident will be active and will serve the incident. Incidents will be updated with the latest information whenever information related to the incident is changed. After the incident is served, incident will be closed. While closing the incident user have to provide the disposition code. Disposition code represents the information on closing the incident.
As on date the system maintains its communication through telephone, but however in near future the communication through the system can be made wireless through GPRS technology .
